Four exposures were needed to shoot this keypad. The LED display was exposed for 35 seconds, the lit keys for 15 seconds, the keypad itself with direct flash and a second flash was fired for the background. The keypad was 'floated' above the background by a thin tube inserted into the back of the keypad and the other end was passed through the background. Direct lighting was used to ensure that its shadow did not fall on the background. The wiring for the LED lights was then passed through the tube.
